I was thinking the UAW strikes were over being unaware of Fains social hook opening the door to machine built autos era.

I heard today that the GM Flint Plant voted down the contract

They did. I wonder how that will play out. In reality, the hourly raise they got over 4 years means nothing because inflation will more than eat that up.

UAW members at Ford, GM plants in Kentucky and Michigan reject tentative deal

Ford and GM both suffered slight hiccups with UAW member votes on tentative contracts, but the automakers and the union are still cautiously optimistic the ratifications will happen.

Two Ford plants also rejected the contract. Fords stock increased 6%.

So some places voted to accept and some places voted to reject.

It's like the UAW is fractured and it's location dependent.

What a mess.

With the plants scattered around the country, they will undoubtedly have different concerns and grievances in each place. After the minor issues are addressed, I think it will all work out in the end.
