2610D will not pull on a hill. Screen cleaned
Welcome to TBN!

Can you provide some more detail? What have you done to troubleshoot? Was this sudden onset, or gradual?

All the best,

Peter

I had put wrong hydraulic fluid in it and then drained and cleaned the screen. It started not pulling on a slope. I had put a new hydraulic control that is under the seat for 3 point control. 4x 4 has not been engaging for some time. PTO seems to be working fine.

Are you sure it is not the clutch? does pto work with power? Are higher gears worse? Is engine pulling down? D

Uphill or down also?

What fluid is in the machine now?

And when you changed the fluid, did you do a flush prior to adding the new fluid in?

Does this machine have a loader?

Yeah more information.
Are you suspecting the transmission?
What is the transmission? hydro, manual, "power shift" type?
Just the model # would require most to have look it up and tractors and basically the same with just a few variables, mostly transmission. 👍

He has a YM2610D 4WD, that is all I know.

With the missing YM from his post, people would think it is a Kioti tractor 2610D.

Was guessing clutch… but hydro might be cause, just don’t know…maybe clutch is slipping… how to check

What color is the tractor?
🤣
Maybe there's a fortune teller or mind reader forum out there, but I'm done with this guessing game.

Bad clutch will always slip in higher gears first. Pto will also slow down in sync with tractor slowing down. If engine speed stays the same while tractor and pto are slowing down then your clutch is likely bad. You should have appx 5/8" free play at the top of the clutch pedal. Do you have that?

A YM2610/D has a PowerShift transmission. (y)

That is why it is important to check both tractor movement and pto speed. the powershift transmission can slip because of the hydraulic clutches, however, the pto will not slip unless the main clutch is bad or splined couplings/shaft splines are bad. And in that case the pto would likely not turn at all.

My 63 Ford has a 2 stage clutch. 1 disc. for the PTO gears another for the main drive. I can disengage the Drive with the clutch pedal and let the PTO stay in operation. As long as I shift the PTO in gear like the YM2000. Nice option!!

I suspect the PowerShift springs.
