I was curious why Summit doesn't offer a 60" rotary cutter?

Yep, me too.
It seems the tractor should have enough power to run a 60" mower under normal situations. Curious also about this.

Interesting, no reply to this from other users or the company.

Perhaps they are aware of a weakness in the drivetrain to the PTO that they fear anyone using a larger mower may exceed. If you use larger aftermarket implements, not sold by Summit, maybe you void any warranty?

Who knows?
It could be. It would be good to see some response. My own thoughts are that whatever attachment I am using better at least cover the wheel tracks. I know there are scenarios that doesn't apply. I am primarily talking about mowers of some sort.

Good question on the RC size. For a 24.7, 18 PTO tractor, a 48" or 54" rotary cutter in the right choice. As much as working width, the density of the brush being cut factors in as well. While a 60" cutter will work ok in some conditions, it will not work well in all conditions, so we recommend 54" max.

That's what I was hoping to see :). A response.
I agree completely with the opinion expressed above.
Cutting conditions (material being cut, moisture level of the material and ground conditions) are as important as the width of the unit. As a company, I would think they will err towards usability and profitability as opposed to trying to bump to a bigger unit. As a consumer, I also have the responsibility of buying and using the right equipment. If I buy an unsuitable item for my tractor and it doesn't work as advertised, it is on me. No foul by the company at all. I don't have a Summit yet but planning to soon. As a long time owner and user of tractors, I am also sure I will opt for a 60" bush hog type mower for my waterways and field borders. No trees or brush to worry about, just grass and weeds.
I do appreciate honest input from the supplier. And i will also do my due diligence and make a decision that works for me and feel pretty good about it. And let's be real here, it is only 6-12 inches more than recommended. Not like I am trying to sneak an 8-10 foot mower behind it.
As a long time consumer of equipment, replies or responses and acknowledgment of the consumer is important. Not every contact means a sale but in the age of the interweb, word does get around if they blow off those who buy their products.

I have a Summit FMX60 Finishing Mower (a KingKutter RFM60 painted green) and a Dirt Dog RC100 48" Rotary Cutter. IMO using a 60" rotary cutter is pushing the limits of the tractor if you are cutting woody brush and saplings. I recall watching a YouTube video with the Summit tractor owner using both a 48" and 60" rotary cutter on the same high grass/hay field and his opinion was the 60" cutter was straining the tractor.
