Tractor Sizing Why are Kioti CK's so **** heavy?

Are they really heavier than JD's? What's the biggest hydrostatic drive CUT that Kioti makes? The DK50 SE HST? Isn't it the same weight (or even a little less) than a JD 4x20?

The DK50Se is Weight: 3902 to 4354 pounds and the 4x20 series is 3850lbs.

I guess that's my point. So your talking 48 pounds at best? Anyway, the Nebraska test lab shows the unballasted operating wieght of the 4x20 (open station) at 4025 pounds. Even so, we are talking very little difference in weight. I was just wondering where the notion comes from that the Kioti is much heavier than JD's....I guess it's always puzzled me.

Well the Dk35se is just a DK 40 with one cylinder chopped off and slightly smaller wheels. It outweighs most other 35 horse tractors except maybe mahindra and The R series LS. It is over 1000 more than the L3400 I traded in.
