which is better?

I have been looking for a gn trailer. I found a 27+5 low boy,with 2 10,000lbs.
axles @ a25 +5 reg. with 2 10,000lbs. axles. The low boy is 200 cheaper.
I would haul big bales of hay mostly with,or what ever is needed. Thanks

Seems like you would know what will best suit your needs.

Does the low one have a lip or rail?
That may hinder you if you want to load or unload with a fork lift or pallet forks.

For hauling hay a longer trailer will be nice as will a deck over. Just depends on your other needs.

Sounds like you are talking about a low profile flat deck. If so it's only about 6 inches lower and probably won't make a huge difference unless your tractor is at the edge of it's reach and you're double stacking.

If you are hauling 4x5 bales the 27 footer will give you a little more room but it's probably not enough to get another row on the trailer.

I'd probably save the $200 if it were me but it wouldn't be a huge issue either way.

I forgot to mention that the low boy flat trailer also had a spread axle. The bales would
be 5x6,good bales would close to a ton. Thanks.

You do realize that 2 10,000lb axles put you over 26,000 lbs GVW (no matter what you haul it with)

you need a CDL A unless you are under the farm exemption.

horses, cows, goats, alpacas, llamas, whatever

but if they or the hay are owned by someone else, that makes it commercial.
