Backhoe Which backhoe for my Kubota B7500

I am looking to purchase a backhoe for my B7500. Currently, I am looking at the Woods BH600 (frame mount and $6,500) and the RE 180 (3pt mount and < $4,000). The RE 180 also appears to be a lot stronger than the BH6000 - at least based on the written specs. Anyone have an opinion on either/both or another solution for a newbie?

Most say to stay away from the 3pt hoe....too much stress on the tractor.
Also, that price seems a bit high for the Woods.

I have a B7500 with BH6000 and sub-frame mount. Love it. Installed it myself. Everything I've read says stay away from 3ph mount backhoes on compacts. The frames can't handle the stress. IMH, it sounds logical to me. I purchased from a Kubota dealer in NH who was clearing out a bunch he purchased. Paid $3300, but it came with a sub-frame mount for a Kubota BX. I ordered the correct sub-frame for the B7500 from a PA dealer for $950 delivered. So total was $4250. Still trying to find a buyer for the BX sub-frame.

Ron, Do you remember the model number for the sub-frame mount ? I am trying to locate one for my B7500.

Not sure on your size. I have the woods 7500 on L3700SU and it works great. As others have said do get a sub frame for it. I saw a JD 790 a woods 7500 3pth hook up and it broke the tractor transmission in half, not a pretty sight!!!

Hi.
Not for nuthin but I put a Woods BH6000 Groundbreaker On my Kubota DT175 using the Three point hitch. It works perfectly and the tractor is no worse for it. I think the 3 point hitch gets a bad name from folks not taking the time to keep it tight onto the tractor. Also the top link is not the typical top link that you would use on an implement, it is a solid link that comes with the hoe. Maybe other brand 3 point hitch setups are not as rigid as the Woods. I bought the hoe from Tractorman from CT. He set me straight. He was 100% right, just pay attention to the fit (no slop) and no worries.
