We have several threads on the technicalities of adding 1, 2 or 3 hydraulic valve outlets. Before I consider doing this, I would like to get a survey (and pictures, if possible) of where people have put the 1,2 or 3 additional levers that are necessary to operate the valves.

Tractors are all different in the space they have available for additional levers. The TC Boomers seem to have three large lever slots already built into the right fender. The Kubota Grand L series has three narrow lever slots available on the right side of the seat. Other tractors, like my 2910, have no slots available and little room to put any.

For those of you who have done these installations, could you:

1. Tell us what tractor you have.
2. Tell us how many levers you installed.
3. Tell us where you put them and why.
4. Post pictures if you have any.
5. Tell us if you would do anything differently now.

Thanks. This info may help some of us decide whether we even want to start going down this expensive hydraulic slope.

Glenn - No pics, I'm afraid, but I installed a 3-valve block on two different Kubotas before I got my current L4310HST which has, as you mentioned, the built-in 3-valve set on the right side of the seat. I installed them on the right fender.

As for suggestions, I'd highly recommend a guard of some sort between the hoses/fittings on the valve block and you. I had a hose burst right at the fitting once and spray hot hydraulic oil all over my right arm. Fortunately, it was cool weather and I had a thick flannel long sleeve shirt on. Still took the skin off in a couple places, though. I'm just glad it didn't spray higher and catch me in the eyes and/or face. Therefore, my strong suggestion: Put a cover over 'em.

I've never used them, but here they are, on the right fender of my L35.

<font color=blue>1. What tractor</font color=blue>

Kubota B7500

<font color=blue>2. How many levers</font color=blue>

Two

<font color=blue>3. Where and why</font color=blue>

Attached to the right-side of the ROPS, because that's the way that Gearmore sells 'em. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

<font color=blue>4. Post pictures</font color=blue>

Here's a picture taken from the left side of the tractor (with me standing on the right side):

Here's a picture taken from "up above" looking down at the spool valve assembly:

<font color=blue>5. Do anything differently now?</font color=blue>

1. I would probably get 3 spool valves instead of the two. Don't need it, but having a spare "just in case" would be nice. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

2. I would consider putting quick disconnects on so that I could remove the T&T cylinders and attach something else (another "just in case" kind of thing)...

Great ?????.I was wondering the same things my self. I was wondering if I could use a controller like the on I use for my FEL.Since my Fel controller is monted to FEL frame like most.My NHTC21D has a place on it for one on the right fender from the factory...I figure that would be nice place since its already there.Might be in the way a bit but I usually get off/on the left side anyway because of the existing FEL controller...Plus it would be easy to reach and not hanging out to snag on a tree or something.Corse I'm sure it would cost a bit more but I've already made up my my CELL to do it some how and way.Its more a matter of saving up the PENNIES now...

I wanted to add the rear hydrualics on my tractor this summer but had to finish of my basement due to the new baby in the fall. I started a thread about an electrical valve assembly be mounted outside the tractor and just run a few wires inside the cab to a bank of switches. I feel this installation is easier, quicker, less bulk(the valve is 2/3 the size of a manual spool valve),expandable (just bolt on another block) and also safer. I wish I had done it so I could post pictures but I haven't. Hopefully next summer, but that doesn't do you any good right now.

The thread. Includes some pricing too.

The valve assembly that I found that I liked is from V&M hydrualic multiplier. I don't rember the guys name but he was really freindly and spend about a 1/2 hour on the phone. If you do call him mention TBN. Last Time I talked with him he was thinking of becoming part of the group. I 've got more info about the valve setup, but its at work. I know there are at least one maybe two member here that use this V&M valve and love it.

Tractor - John Deere 790, MFWD, DSCV, Mid-PTO,FEL, TNTT (tilt on both sides)
How Many - 3 spool Cessna from Surplus Center
Where and Why - made pedistal that bolts to the FEL mounts and positions levers to the left of the steering wheel and about even with the dash. I placed them here because on the 790 there is not much fender space available and I don't like to drill holes in sheet metal.
No pictures are available at this time.
Do anything different - I like the Gearmore mount off the ROPS and would do this if I was doing it today. As a note I mounted quick disconnects at the outputs of the spool valves so that I can route lines to the front for future bucket grapple or snow plow. Also put quick disconnects in the lines at the rear of the tractor, cound not design a mount where there was space for six QD's, so I have them tied off under the seat. Works well for occasional disconnections of the Top Link.

I have a 1630 NH, with the two rear hydraulic ports. I want to add a hydraulic top link, but I haven't been able to find one yet. There are various type of cylinders at Tractor Supply, but I don't see how they would hook up. Is there anywhere you can buy a top link with hoses?
Thanks
