This guy starts out to fell a tree, it hangs in another, then that one hangs in another etc.

Never once tried to yank it with a rope. I lost count of the trees he cut down just for the one mistake.

Took about two minutes watching that video to figure out that dude should sell that chainsaw and burn fuel oil.

If he continues on this journey he won’t live very long..

Had the chaps, the helmet and a big saw....left brain at home. Like watching a car crash, had to watch it till the end.

We all have seen folks who should have never been allowed to drive an auto. For whatever reason- they never quite get the feel of the auto, its size, its movement and how to control all of this.

This guy relates to a chainsaw in this same fashion. He really does not need a hard hat - there is nothing up there to protect.

Does anyone think seriously that was for real and not made just for YouTube viewer? Fake reality? :confused3:

Looks to me like it's real. I have seen people do this kind of thing before many times.. He doesn't have a clue but at least he has fear..

Never lock the chain?? I was trained to lock it as soon as cutting was done. I'm glad to be no where near this operation.

Sure shows how handy a tractor and a strap would have been to not cut down and hang up every tree in sight... On the positive side Saw sounds decently tuned

I didn't listen to the audio and was just watching, but the first thing that cam to my mind was 'I sure hope that is his property and not him doing someone a favor or for a customer '.

So many other ways to get out of that situation. Tractor would be great, but even a come along, pickup truck, etc. Wow.

About 17 minutes into it, he starts doing what I have had to do the few times I've had a tree hang in another tree.... start taking small pieces off the bottom from the back side, so that the butt keeps walking towards the tree its leaning against as you remove pieces. Eventually, you'll get to a point where the leaning tree will have more weight leaning away from the tree it's hung up in, and then it'll fall back in the direction it originally came from. If he'd have done that on the first leaner, he wouldn't have had to cut out all those other trees, or have had them all sprung against each other like that.

If he had a cable and a tractor or truck or come along that would have worked better and probably been safer than having all those spring poles in there. You never know when one will let loose and whip you to death.

Before I stopped watching he said he had rope and a comealong in the truck. I guess he just didn't want to go get them.

Probably would have taken less time to use that on the first tree.

I would not have come anywhere close to those spring poles with a saw! I would have been getting that come along.
