I'm embarrassed to ask this, but I reversed the wheels on my ford 1300 to get the widest possible track and, after mounting the rear wheels, discovered that the weights don't seem to mount in any way that makes sense. My question is, should they have been mounted in the same position they were in before? That will put them on the inside of the wheels, surrounding the axle. Any advice is appreciated!

if you can't get them to fit on the outside sure you can have them on the inside. just harder to put the wheels on.

You should be able to mount the wheel weight whether the wheel is "dished" in or out. If it won't fit the way you had it, just flip it over and mount it. The weights on my 7610 are mounted backwards.

Thanks for the advice! I ended up dismounting the wheels, putting the weights over the axle, then remounting the wheels. After that it was easy to remount the weights, and everything seems to fit fine.
