The hole just needs to be large enough to either thread for 8-32 or just slip through. Either way will work. HOWEVER, looking at those prices, I'll just make them.
What they are for, is actually to make a jig, to allow me to more easily align the cam on my compound bow. Kinda like a tractor, it has a cam

. I figured if anybody would know of a reasonable one, but I will turn them down on my lathe. They will be made to position in holes that are built into the cam for the purpose of alignment. Right now it's an "eyeball" thing and I want something more precise.
Here's a pic of the cam.
The red lines are, top is the bow string. Bottom red line is the correct alignment of the holes, to be parallel to the string. My jig will be on a steel rod, that will have the two eye bolts I asked about, turned so they fit into the outer holes in the cam. The end of the rod has a bubble level epoxied to it, and the bow will be mounted to a stand, so as to level the bow string with a string level hanging on it.
I will be able bolt the jig to the cam and allow that to be hands free. that way, when both bubble show level, it's timed. This is an older Mathews Q2 XL, if that matters.
