What size RM snowblower

I recently traded my B7100 for an L3010, On the B7100 I ran a Woods rearmount SB52 (52 inch width)
It no longer covers the rear tire width on the 3010 (62 inches with the wheel spacers)..
I can get a good trade on the SB52 for either the 60 inch or 74 inch Woods...
Would the 3010 handle the 74 inch ( we get a fair amount of snow in New Hampshire) ...going for 52 to 60 I am afraid will still be a little undersized...
The woods website suggests that even a 25 hp tractor can be used with the 74 inch (they list by tractor HP not PTO) ...

With a 72" you'll have to slow down in heavy snow. I use a 54" on a 2910 (about the same HP as your 3010) and I can work the tractor pretty hard with a heavy snow. I thnk 72" will work, but you may find yourself going slow when it gets deep.

I'd chime in on getting the bigger one - it's very nice to completely cover your wheel width plus, if possible. I find that my rear-mount does a better job if I get out there as soon as 6"-8" plies up, and again later if there's more. Power isn't always the issue - sometimes the snow just flows into it beter if it isn't too deep. But in any case, the L3010 should handle the 74" unit ok.

A decent rule of thumb is you need about 4 hp per foot of width - notice that most 24" walk-behinds are 8hp. My L345DT (29 pto) handled a 72" rm blower with ease - western Mass snow - similar to NH - but higher taxes.

If you've got HST you'll be fine with a 74" blower. I've got a 78" on my L3710 and could easily step up another 12 - 18". I've run it through 24"+, no problems. If you have a geared trans, you might spend a lot of time in 1 or 2, when the snow gets deep.
