What is the best tool for.....

I just became responsible for the turf areas at 18 elementary schools. Each school has between 3-7 acres of turf with big wear spots, dead spots, holes. excessive thatch, etc. Is there an implement that I can put on back of a JD 1050 the is employee proof, and can prepare a seed bed in one swipe, level and aerate all in one??? Right now all we have is a rototiller. We are either adding, moving or changing sprinkler heads to get head to head coverage. Any help will be appreciated.

Looks like you've got your work cut out with 18 schools .

I have seen pictures of a thing called a stone burier that is like a rotovator but it turns the sod on top underneath and brings soil back to the top. Then there is a roller on the back that makes a good seed bed.

Take a look at the Woods Turf Renovator, I borrow one once a year to overseed my lawn, it has worked very well for me. Your determine the amount of "renovation" by how aggressive you set the rollers.

Thanks for the ideas. Will have to start calling around to the rental yards, dealers and might even call on a golf course to see what they use. Got to see them in action. Sure they are not cheap.
