Yes, KC! I haven't needed to use my blower since I put that together with the 1/4" UHMWPE strip, so I just went out to ensure there ISN"T a conflict -- Whew! Nope, the auger clears by just about 1/4". I hadn't even looked at that before so I'm glad you mentioned it! I can see where a 1/2" piece of PE there would not work.

If & when we ever get any more snow where I need to use it, I'll let you know how it works. My biggest concern now is that I only have about 1/4" of the plastic sticking out; not sure how long that will last before I have to flip it. After I use up my 3 pieces of 3" wide PE I'll look at getting something wider.

In the meantime, I did order a 1/2" thick piece -- maybe that will be stiff enough to not flex upward without the use of the OEM blade on top of it?

want to make sure on sizing as I have not done any measuring yet.

The SpeeCo S070904ZBU Lynch Pin can be used for numerous farm and other applications. The pin is zinc plated for long-term performance. Each pack includes two lynch pins. The overall length of the pin is 2-1/8 in., while the usable length is 1-1/4 in.

Diameter of pin: 1/4 in.
Usable length: 1-1/4 in.
Shank length: 1-3/4 in.
Overall length of pin: 2-1/8 in.
Clevis lynch pins are zinc plated for long-lasting use

Dmacleo, I bought the smallest ones they had on the shelf, 3/16" pin diameter. Terminology gets confusing, they're called lynch pins, the ones they replace are called hair pins, and both go into...pins (the ones holding the loader support legs up)??? Anyways, I needed to enlarge the holes in the "leg" pins for the 3/16" lynch pins.

What happened MoMower?

Clearing trails, I think something got caught in the chains and came up against it. Took a chunk out at the bottom where it meets the floor board and just in front of the gas tank.

I’ll get a price for one, but I’ll probably just patch it.

Ouch !

If it were me I'd probably purchase a 12" x 12" red anodized aluminum about 0.032" or 0.040" thick and cut a patch for both the inside and outside and use long pop rivets to sandwich your missing chunk fender.

Also the aluminum could easily be formed to match any shape on the fender that is not flat.

It looks like you have a vertical crack in your fiberglass fender, if so I'd drill about a 3/16" diameter hole at the top of the crack so that the tractor vibration does not extend the crack.

Good luck,

KC

I do like the idea of flared wheel arches, but then you would need to get spinner rims.

Could maybe put something on the inside that fiberglass won't stick to and fill in, sand and paint?

Or a big sticker .....

Temp fix

Not worried about the bottom (no cracking)

When I get roundtuit I’ll plate it with aluminum and rivit it in place.

I just added a grab handle for hood (ignore bad paint job org was oily and its 20+ mph wind outside wind chill 6 deg) and the boss plow paint can is VERY close match.

Touch-Up Spray Paint (12 oz.) | BOSS Snowplow
