What have you done to your Branson today?

I don't pick up brush nor am I a landscaper. What few times I move some brush I can easily push aside it with forks. I'm not clearing land and when I have, I hired a dozer for logical purposes. Grapples cost thousands more than a set of VG forks and don't take away any of your FEL lift capacity. Sure, they have a place, just not for as many folks that seem to feel an indispensable attachment, by most of whom are first time tractor buyers on small acreage, baby farms who have little serious justification to own them.
The attachment in 2nd place (1st time tractor owners) is a toothed bar for their bucket, which also have no use for...

A+

I'd love to have a grapple for my occasional brush pile.

I make do by crushing my piles as much as I can (and then typically dropping another on the smashed one, then crushing them together, moving the forks back and forth a bit to tangle the brush...) and then pick them up and slowly drive to my burn pile. Occasionally I have to set the pile down and pick it back up better centered, or stop and pick up a dropped branch by hand.

Since I'm just gradually clearing a few acres and maintaining the rest, I haven't found a grapple to be required nor likely to improve my time by much (maybe a few minutes every couple weeks - not worth a couple thousand bucks to me, but dang aren't forks handy!

If I ever (actually buy a ticket and) win the lottery, I'd definitely buy a grapple though.

Not really done "TO" my Branson (yet)...

I finally got off the dime and ordered my snow blower for my 3pt today (a few minutes ago actually, I hope I filled out the shipping and ordering forms correctly). I did get the email confirmation, so we're probably good.

Woodmaxx 72" blower with the hydraulic chute control kit. This one:

WoodMaxx SB-72

I know, I know, I should have done it 5 years ago...

3 years ago it was $1K cheaper, and for the last 2 years it's been "out of stock".

Of course I waited until the blizzard is on the way. I guess I like the drama?

We're supposed to get 12"-16" by tomorrow night, and it's already raining sleet.

Woodmax is high quality stuff and built outside of Buffalo, NY in snow country. I'm pretty sure you'll be very happy with your purchase.

I used that exact blower for several years, and it is a good, quality unit. The biggest problem you will likely have is snow blinding the windows on your cab unless you are able to always match the wind direction and blowing direction, which I could never seem to do. You might consider getting a extendable handle squeegee to carry in your cab to clean the snow off your windows when needed. The hydraulic chute control is a worth while upgrade.

New blower arrived by freight shipper today. Pretty fast turn around, ordered it after hours last Wednesday, arrived today.

This thing is built like a tank. Pics to follow, probably get it up and running Saturday.

Having a brain fade moment,

The fittings on the Branson factory rear remotes, those are "pioneer" fittings, right?

I need to pick up 4 while I'm in town today.

I don't have it out of the shipping frame yet, but it's out of the wrapper.

In my infinite wisdom, I didn't realize I set it down "backwards" in the garage. I need to spin it around so I can hook it up to the 3pt. By the time I realized what I'd done, I had already put the tractor away and taken off my snow gear. I have the gear oil and chain lube, just need to pick up the hydraulic fittings for the rear remotes.

Yes, Pioneer is what is on mine.

Pioneer is a company that makes couplers. I think you want ISO 5675 couplers, 1/2". Around here they are called "ag" couplers but that can be misleading. I bet real 300hp ag tractors use something else. Pioneer 8010 male couplers should do (the tractor has female couplers). My local TSC has them.

I use the factory remotes to run my top and tilt. I marked one of each pair so when I replace the tilt cylinders the lever works the same way as before. I can barely remember which way they go when it's consistent. Having them swapped would totally confuse me.

Even many of the larger tractors still use the Pioneer 8010 series.
I normally use the 8010 Series Connect-Under-Pressure Nipple with the little teat that relieves the pressure.
The 8010-4P-DC 1/2-14 NPTF they seem to connect a bit easier sometimes.
