Make a Road trip to Wisconsin and I'll let you try it for a week .... As long as my wife's Honey Do List gets done :)

As appealing as that sounds, finishing your wife's chore list would get me killed; you've not seen how much I've neglected around my own home. 😂

My dealer was telling me it's damn difficult to get enough product in because it's being sent where Branson is more popular, which is apparently in the South and West Coast; they can never get enough in, one or two at a time, and they're about sold the minute they show up.

Congratulations on the 2515H, they're quite impressive!
Thanks!

Today I was mowing another place we inherited recently that is severally overgrown since, well, since the almost the entire mountain burned on a massive fire in 2005. This place is a 20 to 25 degree slope, so very tricky to work on, specially when there hidden holes from the stumps that burned on that fire, along with fallen rotten trees from previous storms. Extreme care and attention is required to mow it.

Anyway, the place is somewhat dislocated from the village but has a paved road to it which only means one thing. That people will go there to dump all kinds of trash. Turns out I found a piece of broken glass that cut right through the front tire but somehow didn't reach the tube.

Now, do you guys know if this can be fixed somehow, or should I start looking for either a new tire or an used one? The cut it about 1 1/2" long.

McMaster-Carr Not sure if you can get this over there but we have repaired some rubber conveyor belts with a very similar product . The worst part is the cure time for total strength. Just clean the hole very well with MEK , Methyl ethyl Ketone, most paint stores should have some . Frame the cut with duct tape to the mixture can't run out and when dry shape with grinder and flapper disk .

Thanks for the tip and suggestion on that urethane stuff. We could definitely use something like McMaster Carr, not because we don't have the products but mostly for the convenience of ordering online and most likely better prices.

For now, the tire has been fixed and has been holding good but I'll save this idea for the next time. I'm sure it's just a matter of time till it happens again.

Looks like 3M as a similar product to that, that I should be able to get. Otherwise, I'm sure Wurth has something like that too. https://www.3m.com/3M/en_US/p/dc/v000088310/

Super happy to hear that! They seem very solid to me. It's about a 3-½ hour drive from where I live, but worth it to get what I want... and a good dealer to boot makes it all the better!

I'm 3.5 hours away from Dave's too. I've been there twice in four years: once to test drive and once to pick up a backhoe. They ship me the parts I need, which has pretty much just been filters. They're great about doing business over email.

Excellent! That's one more thing I liked with the Branson and Daves... they told me that doing my own maintenance won't affect my warranty. I prefer to do my own maintenance, so the only reason I would ever have to take the tractor back to Daves is if I need warranty work done.

Speaking on tractor availability, looks like te Portuguese importer just stocked up on some 2505, 2200, 2500 and 2500L models.

Not my Branson, but grabbed some shots of the new 3515Ch that was sitting at my dealer; they finally got some inventory in, and there she was.

No, lol, haven't sold my Deere yet; someone is coming out today to look at it though, so who knows!

(Yesterday) I got my new ditch bank flail mower set up and running! Very happy. I have a question though... On the tach it has marks for "540 RPM PTO 1st" and "540 PTO RMP 2nd"... Can't find anything in the manual about running the PTO. What RPM should I be using?

If I remember correctly, the 2515's don't have 540E and the engine is derated to 2100 or 2200 RPMs compared to 2600 RPMs on the higher HP models to achieve the 25HP. So, you should get 540 RPM at the PTO, right at 2100/2200 engine RPM.

That looks like a nice flail mower.

Nice looking flail mower, I need to finish getting mine ready to use. If your tractor doesn't have the economy mode or a multi speed pto
whatever engine speed gives you 540 rpm on the pto.

/ What have you done to your Branson today? #1,119
It looks from the web site that they rate the HP at 2100 rpm. It's possible that it really can turn faster and they did not regear the PTO to match the lower rpm. But if they did, then they really should have changed the markings on the tach. Unless you have a contact tachometer to test it yourself, I'd ask Daves, they'll know.

Ahh, thanks! So that is how they turn the 2515 down to 25 hp! Very happy with the flail mower, doing a great job for me. It's the Titan 57". The weight is nothing for the tractor, but it does bog down in 2' high wet green grass. if I mow it more often I should be able to fly through it!
