Working in fertilizer ahead of the corn planter ..!

Picked up a manure spreader for the fall. Nice CL find I think new idea 12 I believe. Everything works as it should all greased up and everything. $400. And only 6 miles from my place. Not bad a bad deal I think?

thats a great price. i bought one about 4 years ago that someone fixed up. I also get parts for it thru Shoup farm supply. ( http://www.shoupparts.com/ ). They carry most parts needed to keep it runniing.

I pull mine with my horses.... or if im feeling lazy, with my truck.

What I did today.. started to position poles for putting my horse on my property. I can't wait to go outside and have my horse right there waiting for a treat! :thumbsup:

Doubled the size of my tomato crop from last year.
Planted both tomato plants today .

Went looking for a metric u joint. Stopped at the auto parts store.
Finished the bearing replacement on the outer spindles of my bx1500 deck.
Replaced the primary fuel filter on the BX. Rinstalled the deck and then mowed for 4 hours.
Then worked on the wifes car, had to replace the front rotors because they were warped and installed new brake pads front and rear.
Long day.

Today I mostly stayed in on the computer because it was almost 100 F. I did get around to putting my window ac in.

Tonight I helped my dad put a swamp cooler in their mobile home. Boy does it make a difference.

That is until just a bit ago one of our cats got sucked into the swamp cooler. You can read more about that in the thread I posted.

Sweated .... alot .... and ....

Replaced a sledge hammer handle, replaced two sections of culvert - a 20' section of 10" and a 6' section of 8", glued up 100' of 1" conduit and pulled it into place, placed 100' of water and gas tracer wires, dug about 40' of 2' deep trench and a pit for a catchbasin, enlarged a hole for a 6" culvert in another catch basin, dug a couple of planting holes, dug out a 5" tree (40'+ tall), and screened about 50 bucket loads of dirt.

Oh .... and I managed to smash my thumb with the newly repaired sledgehammer

Ouch. I've done that before. My thumb throbbed for a week. I wonder why it had to hurt that long? God making sure I don't do it again? :laughing:

Finally replaced the dead dimmer switch in the master bedroom walk in closet. No more groping around in the dark for clothes. That in turn lead to getting a first load of laundry started, putting a small dent the Mt. Washmore.

Next on the list is to get all the critters fed since they do seem like to eat on a regular basis.

Sweat ALOT. Even with my B20 moving and spreading 40 yards of mulch and planting 25 3 gallon plants took all day and required me to give up about 2 gallons of sweat. Went through 5 gallons of diesel and 8 32oz bottles of Gatorade.

I moved a fifth wheel camper into our yard today. A friend brought it by yesterday. Were tearing it down for him. We get to keep the scrap aluminum and copper off it and whatever is inside for tearing it down for him. There's at least $300.00 of scrap on the thing. So a great deal.

He's making a trailer out of it to haul hay.
