It was 94-deg. here today & i mowed 7 1/2 acres of grass, and i drank a 1/2 gallon of iced tea

My wife tried to shut me down because it was so hot today

After i cut grass i took a ride on my motorcycle.

I also bush hogged about 10 acres of grass today. But I drank about a gallon of ice tea. Oh yea I forgot I had the A/C running in the cab also.

Then I also went for a 2 hour motorcycle ride with a couple buddies. There is a big difference between the A/C and the breeze you get when riding the motorcycle

I love to drink iced tea, it just goes down so smooth.

I didn't have A/C, but i had a fan under my canopy blowing hot air on me

I like to take a ride on a motorcycle in the evening, but you have to be alert for the deer running out in the road.

Maybe if i complain about the heat, then my wife will buy me a cab with A/C

Took a nap and then mow the yard around 7:00PM.

Went to the Milam County Registered Boer Goat Auction and brought home a young buck and three young does to add to the herd.

Well thats probablly a bit of exageration on my part !

When you go to the terminal to fill the truck with a 6" fill pipe thats unbelievably quick ! In a matter of seconds you have 500 gals in the tank !

The job is good but it may get a bit rough in the winter when working full time, but then I jsut need to make it to next april and more part time weeks ! So far so good, we will see !

Too wet to bale hay so started putting this winters firewood in the celler.

Split firewood yesterday & today.... That was 4 trees and i still have 11 big trees on the ground.

I'm going to have to hire some help to get it all done, and i have 3 sheds to build to put the wood in.

Woke up to rain again for the 4th day ....Started the day with good intentions servicing combines and balers but got p!22ed off with the rain and took my boy out for lunch then went and looked how we were going to get a write off semi from an auction........bought a case of beer on the way home this evening...**** rain..!

18 holes of golf at 6:45 AM, then worked in the garden til about 1:30PM. Picked zucchini, peas, broccoli, kohlrabi, and a couple banana peppers. Looks like all *32 tomato plants are blooming, but no tomatoes yet

First I pulled a couple stumps using my box blade and my fel. Then I made a ditch to help drain water off my fields into a new pond. Last but not least moved most of the dirt from the ditch up to the house where I filled in some low spots next to the foundation for better draining. I did this all in about 4 hours, this would have been two weekends pre tractor.

You need to find a job that pays by the hour

Talked over putting down tarps around a particularly well-filled persimmon tree to catch some of the ripe fruit without fighting the poison oak, ivy, etc. We should have took care of this issue some time back.

Went to work anoly to have the ring & pinion come out of the rubbish compactor. Spent the day calling some friends and looking for a used unit in a 518 skidder. Finished the day hauling sand with the scraper to build up some roads for the rain and hauling some sealing clay. Got home 22 miles from work and realized I lftmy phone on the track of the dozer when I was shoveling them out. I had to go all the way back, Just loaded my hyster forklift on the trailer to take to work and pull off the steel wheels and planetaries and then the chunk. dreading tomorrow at the moment lol.

Picked up lots of sticks and brush to get ready for first mowing of season.

Did the anual spring thing of gathering up tree branches twigs and small limbs.

A couple of neighbors helped me out this winter after I had a stroke .
I got the chance to return the favor by spreading 2 piles of manure for another neighbor on his garden with my BX23 today.

just got home from volunteering at a local food bank, you would be shocked at how many people need a little extra help these days.
