Finished up the #10 cart w/520 pedal tractor today & got the "parade unit" out for a few pics:

I am going to need to extend some drawbars before parade day to allow for tighter turns though! ~~ grnspot

That is sweet. Really is a good looking and detailed job.
Is this for local town parades, tractor parades, July 4th or all of the above?

My wife and I went to our farm today and planted 50 Wax Myrtles...Myrica cerifera - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

We planted them as a screen along a fence line...the new neighbor decided he wanted a view of our pasture and cut down all his trees on his side of the fence....We value our privacy on the farm so these Wax Myrtles grow 5 ft high and 5 feet wide a year...get to up to 30 ft. tall and 20 ft spread...

The new neighbor told me what he was going to do ...I said , thanks for telling me...he said he wanted the view of our pasture...I told him we would plant a screen since we valued our privacy...he looked stunned...I almost was tempted to tell him I would have to charge him for the view...and if we cooked out we would have to charge him for the smell of the grilling steaks.....but I didn't....

Saturday and half of Sunday I helped a very good friend with 8 kids move out to the country.

I'm still sore this morning, and I did not have to help with the piano...

Not today but a couple days back went to a farm auction and stood in a river of mud and muck and cold and damp. Got so cold I nearly lost interest. It was hard to find a spot to stand that wasn't six inches of soupy mud. As you can see in the photo, the water wicked up anyone's pant legs that happened to stay in the water.

Last night I went out to LstInThot's homestead and worked as an assistant in his shop. He is buildingmany things, including an AIRPLANE! But last night he is building a craftsman bed for his daughter.

I got to run the biscuit cutter(?) and I was extra hands when it came time to glue the first parts together.

It was fun, educational, and it felt great to feel useful.

I look forward to another shop session soon.

Yesterday I did a little touch up mowing. I plan to run the FS-90 trimmer with the brush blade a bit today.

Depends on when the T-storms hit...

Went and paid my property taxes & picked up a new belt for my lawnmower. Came home, changed the oil in wife's car then installed the new belt which seemed to be much shorter than the original so even after adjusting the spring retainer to it's longest position, I had to really stretch the spring tensioner a lot but finally with help from a couple of ratchet straps was able to stretch it far enough to get it on. After checking to make sure it turned ok, I then washed all the mud and grass from under the deck, darned crawfish mounds really stick to the deck when I run them over.

Afterward, it was relaxation time for what remained of the day.

I did NOT run the FS90... Instead I moved a ton of my Ex's stuff from my basement (that recently flooded) to the attic in order for the dehumidifier to have more impact.

There were 3 distinct temperature zones, nice and cool in the basement, tolerable on the main floor, and 6th level of Hades in the attic... OOF!

Actually yesterday, I spent the morning mowing for the first time this year at the farm with the 790 & 5' Woods finish mower.

Since I had to slow down & mow some of it twice, I ran low on fuel by noon & had to head home (after Dottie & I polished off a few hot dogs). Wasn't quite done, but close enough for today. Came home unloaded & washed the 790, then mowed the yard with the F525. Enough mowing for one day! ~~ Lowell

completely cleaned my F-150 up so i could swap it for the Ex's Flex I need to clean up and sell (can't afford it anymore).

I applied for about 20 jobs, called my health insurance to fix a massive screw up on their end. Argued with the ex on text message and email. Moved coiled and stowed 500 feet of hose. Fixed the door/gate to chicken pen. Hauled all my trash and recyclables to the dump.

Read TBN... LOL

I performed the 100 hour maintenance on my L4240 today. Made one mistake: I forgot to bleed the fuel line after cleaning the fuel filter. Tractor ran fine for a couple of minutes, then died. I thought I would have to bleed the air out all the way to the injectors. However, I was lucky: After opening the air-bleed valve and turning the engine over a couple of times, it fired right up. After a few seconds of spitting, hissing, and coughing, and after I closed the air valve, it smoothed out and ran fine. I was very pleased as the injectors are a bit awkward to reach with the loader on. I'll bet I will never make that mistake again.
