So I completed assembly of the splitter yesterday. No issues other than a bit of effort routing the hydraulic hoses so there were no interferences when moving the splitter beam to vertical etc. Added engine oil (Castrol Extended Edge Performance 5W-30) and then started filling the tank with CAM2 Promax AW32 hydraulic oil. The first 5-gal pail (white colored cap on pour spout) was light amber and clear, just like motor oil - all good. Opened the next 5-gal pail (grey colored cap on pour spout) and added three to four glugs and noticed the hydraulic fluid to be yellow and cloudy/hazy, and stopped. Opened the third and last container (grey cap on pour spout) and started adding and noticed the same yellow and cloudy/hazy appearance and stopped.
Called Rural King this morning and let them know. They were fantastic and advised to bring the fluid back and they would credit my purchase price. I will call CAM2 CS this morning and see if anything had changed on their end, etc.
Now I have to drain what I added - a bit over 5-gals and search for alternate fluid. Thankfully, the fluid remains in the tank only and was not circulated. Testing will have to wait.
