Bought this today. Chased down a p0171 code on the wife’s 05 Accord, intake boot was torn causing a vacuum leak and a lean condition. Cost about $50 and it was actually in stock locally. Great car, rarely gives us any problems.

Since we were getting tired of yanking out the watering hose from our attached garage and connecting it to another hose that was connected to the vegetable garden sprinklers a little ways off, I ordered the following parts to put together a 3/4" inlet wall sillcock for my better half:

Woodford model 30P-12
Sharkbite 3/4" tee
Sharkbite hose with shut off valve

Funny, i removed all my house exterior outlets after the wife left a hose attached, the line froze and flooded my basement.

I installed exterior ground based frost frees in their place.

Despite shutting off the inside valve that is 4' back inside the house, and the pipe is sloped down to outside, and leaving the valve on the outside of the house open, this spring, the exterior valve body had a crack from ice plug. So I installed a freeze proof faucet this spring. We'll see how it goes.
This is straight from the Woodford site on the Model 30P faucet. These are supposed to freezeless with or without a hose connected. The built in shut-off valve seat is almost at the end of the copper pipe (just inside the 3/4" male threads). Plus my Sharkbite flex has a shut-off valve as well (mostly for service purposes). We will have plenty of opportunities to try it out during the winter in NE OH.

I've never owned a diesel car/truck so will be learning what not to do or to do. I almost put gas in it tonight, I know not to do that ;)

In 2017 (I think) we spent a month in Europe, driving an S Class Mercedes ("cheap upgrade" because what I had reserved was not available). Sounded and drove like a Gas engine. I only ever put gasoline in it. There was no "WARNING - DIESEL ONLY" label on the fill area. It was a great car. Maybe why I bought a CLS 550 after we got home...

Anyways, speaking of after we got home, I looked up the model number to get more specs on it. I knew that in Europe, most, even "Luxury" sedans like an S-Class have two wheelbases, whereas in the USA they only sell the "oversize" version... Long story short, I could not find a gasoline powered version of the model we had. I kept expecting to get a call, email, or jackboots-at-the-door demanding I pay $20k for an engine to replace the one I had ruined. Still to this day I do not know the actual situation. But, pretty sure I am past the statue of limitations for "destruction of rental vehicle"...

A diesel will not run on gasoline. My wife accidentally filled my old 1994 dodge ram with gas, and engine died driving out of gas station. You sure this rig wasnt gas? Maybe that model in gas wasnt allowed to be sold in usa.

I'm pretty sure the fuel nozzle and hose colors for diesel and gas are actually the exact opposite in Europe than it is in the US. That could explain the confusion.

Over here, diesel is the black hose, while gas is the green one.

Here, diesel is green, and alot larger so it wont fit in the opening of a gas car. But a gas nozzle can fit in opening for the diesel. Thats how the wife goofed up on my dodge. That cost me 32 gallons of trashed gas, a tow to dodge shop, and cost to flush engine and injectors. I think total was in the neighborhood of $600.

That model wasn't sold in the USA at all. I was looking at European data. Anyways, I'm sure it was a gas model, it's not like I only topped the tank up once after a day or two driving around. I think I filled it 3/4 or so three times over the month we had it.

Recd. the tires today. Based on the DOT codes, three (both fronts and one rear) manufactured in 2023 and the 4th one in 01/2025. They are replacing the three from 2023; keeping my fingers crossed.

Recently sent all four tires for my Challenger back to Tire Rack. They were also from '23.

I need to either find fresh tires or not drive it until I do. I strongly suspect it won't get driven until spring the way things are going.
