what did I do wrong?

I just attempted to reply to a post and went to an old post of mine with a picture attached.
I copied and pasted; http://www.tractorbynet.com/forumfiles/5-80931-forkpost.JPG

but the attachment did not show up when I returned to the forum.

So I entered a second reply and reosted my picture and this time the attachment was there and it is named:

Since I don't see a smiley face wearing a dunce cap I'll just say..... HELP.... with details.

That's odd and I'm not sure why it happened... it shouldn't happen, so I would just take it as an odd occurrence... a one-time thing.

If you want your image to display in the post, you need to use the "image" tag... If you just want to make an active/clickable URL, then you should use the "url" tag. Check out the TBN <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.tractorbynet.com/cgi-bin/compact/faq_english.pl?Cat=#markup>FAQ</A> page...

I did not put the "link" in the text of the post.
I just pasted it in the attachment box and let'er rip.
Does " image[" need to be used in the attachment box?

How does that stuff magically appear from your keyboard? I agree, that is one that would get overused.......by/on me. When I went to school we really did have a dunce cap and a corner. We became the best of friends.

Public flogging and humiliation were the mainstay of my youth. My other best friend was the aerodynamic shop teacher paddle. Airfoil stared about 11:00 and then turned sidways just before impact. The paddles with the holes drilled were nothing compared to that thing.
