R-1 tires are a standard ag tire like you find on farm tractors. R-2 is a rice and cane tire, R-3 is turf and R-4 is an industrial tire.
With regards to Skid Steer they are talking about how the bucket and other accessories hook to the loader. Usually they say something like Skid steer style quick attach and such.

A lot of folks call them "bob cats" (which is a brand name)
you can "google images" the tire treads for pictures...

"skidsteer" refers to the method of steering the beast. Instead of a steering wheel to turn the front wheels, you use brake levers to brake the wheels on one side. Hence you "skid" the free side around to change direction.
