WELCO Equipment ?

Has anyone ever heard of "WELCO" equipment? Supposedly located in Canada.

One of my local dealers in the Baltimore Area informed me they sell snowblowers made by Welco. His price for a new 60" 3 pt snowthrower is $1995. He claims the full retail is $2495.

I have never heard of Welco and can't find any info on the internet about them.

Never heard of Welco. Not around my area in Alberta anyway. Schulte is big, Pronovost well known, Farm King and a number of others, but I've not heard of Welco. Sorry.

I did some searches and could not find it also. Are you sure it is spelled Welco? I did some searches for Canadian Snowblowers and then a search within for welco. Nothing came up for it.

Tim,

I bought a Walco rough cut mower for 7 acres of my neighbors and 3 acres of my own. So far, so good. My view is it is about at King-Kutter in quality and price but definitely below Woods or Bush-Hog.

I would look at them for future implements, however, I might opt for King-Kutter due to Walco's relative obscurity. (getting parts) Frankly, I was about to get a KK but had such a hard time getting TSC to deliver, I told them where to get off (after waiting --weeks--). Went down to a local dealer and had the Walco within an hour of purchase at the same price.

Thanks everybody for all the info...

I do believe I will be talking to Ken at Sweet Farm Equipment to get the Farm King unit. but he has informed me he is sold out for the year. But I'll tell you all he was F A S T in his response and his number looks good. Anybody, or any business, that responds that quicky is on the ball, wants my business, and will provide great customer service.

Since he is out of stock, I'll have some time to work on the little lady about the purchase. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I have a walco whistler 6 foot brushog and so far it has whacked at everything i out it over.
