Does anyone have pictures of weight boxes they have made or bought for a 3 pt to offset the FEL weight.

I have a TN70 NH and it's very front heavy (not a good feeling when you're on 3 or 2.5 wheels)when the FEL is loaded.... I don't want to load the tires as I transport the tractor aroung the state.

Thanks for ideas and suggestions

Yep, you will find LOTS of homemade boxes and such on the 'net. I discovered pretty quick that I needed rear ballast as well when using the FEL. I had 4 rear wheel weights off of an old Farmall that needed a job to do so I came up with a "Quick and dirty" way to help solve the problem. This was suposed to be temporary ballast until I could come up with something a little better, but now I may scroung up another pair of weights, paint them, and call them good. You might notice that the lower pins are mounted so that they can swivel front to back. This makes it WAY easier to mount to the 3 point. Then I added a piece of scrap and a trailer ball to move trailers around the yard.

This is my weight box, carryall, and small dump box. I just fill it with gravel and dump it out when done with the weight. It's just right for my L4240 with loaded tires.

Great idea.

I picked up a "very slightly used" JD box off CL a couple of years ago for $70. I've added my own modifications to it as follows: Welded up a pair of runners w/RR rail & 2" receiver tube, filled it with 600+ lbs. of scrap iron (including the rails & some lead), added tool tray about 8" down (old grainery door), plastic sleeve on one side for chain saw & plastic conduit tubes on other side for long handled tools.

This was my weight before finding the box:

The compact weight box is much handier than using a box blade in tight areas & gives a place for tools! ~~ grnspot
