Anyone know of anything to use for a trimmer line? Tried cable and solid line with no results for any lenght of time. Hate to use a blade, but might be the best resort since I won't be off the machine if in motion. This is a 3-point hooked to the rear of a small tractor.

Piano wire? Guitar strings?
Even for small cable, use a welder to fuse the ends.
Won't fray so bad this way.
