We Got Snow!

It started snowing yesterday (Wednesday) morning around 9:00 am and it hasn't stopped. We had 18 inches on the ground at 9:00 am this morning. I plugged in the Ford 4610 and two hours latter I was blowing snow with the old ARPS Model 70. It was about 18°F and the snow was dry. The blower threw a 7 foot swath about 30 ft. It took about 2 hours to do our lanes and then I did some lanes in the pastures so I could feed easier. The snow was dry and I had no problem with snow sticking on the augers.

I had to raise the blower about 3-4 inches because the blower wouldn't take all the snow. I then made another pass and got the rest. I looked like a snowman when I got done because my tractor is an open station!

It supposed to warm up tomorrow so I'll have to get an early start so I won't have a sticking problem.
Thanks for all the advice you folks gave me after my initial run last month. I pretty much have the hang of it now.

Open station, 18 degrees, I sure hope the wind was nil or at least light.:thumbsup:

You must have got the leftover from our last blow. We got about 12" total over 3 days.

Got in a few plows for the road association...so im happy.

It was calm but I got covered with snow. Today I went out to get the 8 inches we got ovenight and I put a rain slicker on and stayed dry. It was 20°F and we had some sun breaks. The weather folks are predicting some rain tomorrow (ARGH!) followed by more snow.

We got a real dump ~24 inches. There was 16 inches on the ground yesterday morning. and another 8 inches overnight

Its 40F and windy here. All snow is turning to slop. I plowed all the drives and walkways. Now im shedding the barn so i can blow it all out before the horses pound it into a mountain that will last till springtime.

Yes, we also have snow and anyone missing their snow can come on by and retrieve it, :laughing:. It started snowing midday Tuesday and did not stop until midday Friday, :confused2:. Snowblowed 4 times, always wait until about a foot of snow before snowblowing,

, not too little and not too much snow for snowblower, :thumbsup:. Today was #5 snowblowing, the snow from the roofs started coming off. The most at one time built up on the roof really traveled further out from the house and took out two of the wifes greenhouse plastic panels,

. We are getting close to the amount of snowfall from last winter on the ground. B.T.W. tomorrow will be #6 snowblowing as more snow slid of the roofs, :smiley_aafz:. KC
