One of the things I like about Olympia is when it snows... the snow is gone my noon the next day...
The snow in Austria has caused a run on snow blowers.... just like the heat wave 2 years ago caused a run on Air Conditioning... no one had A/C prior...
The problem with the amount of snow is also where to put it... under those snow banks I have stone fencing with wood inserts... can only imagine what it will look like... also have a new neighbor so the road is plowed all winter... easy for a plow driver to cause damage...

The paper says the higher country is at 165" for the year and 45" on the ground. Here is some photos taken yesterday 18 miles SW of town on our way back and in the high country. We attended a classic snow-cat event in Ironwood MI and that is the cat photos you'll also see.

Looks like an average snow fall by the end of January for here. Feb is here now so let the real storms begin..

Here is the forum where folks organized this event. I've posted a bunch of photos there but to be honest, I'm not really into old cats. There where folks there as far away as NY. Since I hardly know them, I can't say where all they came for this years. The did say that ID, OR was represented in the past years. Was fun and we'll go again next year and bring our mutts and our 6x6.
