Where i used to live, I was closer to a Brewpub that was open Saturday mornings. Didn't get there often, but when I did, used to enjoy a pint of Stout with a nice omelet or whatever their breakfast special for the day was :D

When I was younger we used to say it was okay to have a shot or two of booze in the morning IF, repeat IF, it was in coffee.....

Irish coffee? I tried that once many years ago; ruined both the booze and the coffee.

Some friends got back from a Caribbean vacation this past week and gave me a bottle of Rum Jumbie Vanilla Splash. I'd never heard of it, but it's quite tasty just on the rocks, but makes an especially fine Pina Colada.

Some years ago on a tour ship on the Danube seen the Captain and crew all lined up with a very tall mug of beer and a shot glass of vodka before they started things up and we stated our journey for the day.

Its OK to have a little eye opener when you get up in the morning.:)

Nothing wrong with a refresher at mid morning.:D

A little something before lunch is perfectly acceptable.:licking:

You may want something to finish off the meal.

A mid afternoon pick me upper if fine.:dance1:

Around quitting time a snort or 2 is a good way to end the work day. :drink:

Before dinner its a good idea to have a drink before eating.

Of course an after dinner drink is always in order. ;)

A Nightcap before bed will help you get a restful night. :cloud9:

BUTT that DA*M Sip - Sip all day long has Got to Stop :(

I only drink every now and again. I drink one now and when its empty, I have one again . But then I 'm a sailor and naturally get a pass on the transgression .

But for the past ten years all I usually drink is a glass of zinfandel for dinner, it's the only way I can get up my nerve to eat my cooking.

:D:D:D

But I am with Bird, a shot in coffee kinda kills both for me.

In my college days, before going home in the morning, we would stop for a tripe soup and a beer - the pick me up drink.
