Snow Equipment Owning/Operating .----WANTED---MORE SNOW!!

My first winter with tractor. We have only had one storm before this last one about 6-8" just enough to play with. We got about 4-5" today and might get 1-2" more tonight. I have found out that you can do landscaping with snow on the ground!! took off a few high spots, moved some turf around ,reworked the rock edge on our garden, all in record time. Now that I got that out of the way I need more snow. I'm having a blast playing now ,but come spring I know I've got some work to do!!

We had about an inch here in the last couple of days. Thankfully half of my driveway is in the shade so I got to play. The other half melted on impact.

For a few days they have been predicting the first serious storm of the season here. I think schools are already cancelled in many areas. Folks around here generally do not do well with snow.

My personal opinon: I'll be excited if we get more than two inches of snow. It usually winds up at cold rain, sleet or freezing rain.

I do not like freezing rain because it knocks out power lines and offers none of the fun of snow.

Well lets see , will you deliver or is it pick-up only? would like enough to cover the yard with at least 15-20" maybe 3-4 dump truck loads would get me by for awhile . Give me a good deal and I'll speard it around!! How much of the stuff do you have on hand?

I see your in Maine, me to Thats the stuff I'm looking for right there. Can't wait til we get some more .Last year it was a snow shovel for 4-5hrs to get my driveway opened up to just get out . Now its an hour with my L3240 with cab and about 5min. of shoveling

I really think your do for that tractor this year ,don't you? I raked over 20,000 pounds of blueberrys in two weeks by hand in back of my house just to get the down payment on mine. Thought that I was going to die for the first week ,closed my eyes and saw nothing but berrys the second week. Now that I have it, Life is good

Your right ,nature has a way of kicking your a... just when you think your on top does't it? It would be my luck to have something go wrong,you know battery problems, flat tire,something breaks , would kinda take the fun out of it. But until then it's all fun!!

Finally getting snow this weekend ,there saying maybe up to 18" or better I'm just watching it now pacing the floor until we get enough to go out and play I've got my DR 17hp snowblower ready as well .Had to load that in the truck to do a driveway at a summer cottage about 30 miles away.
And yes , I have thought about taking the bota but I don't have a trailer to haul it ,and only a 1/2 ton truck so that means at 15 to 16 mph that would be about a couple hours away and thats way to long to have a smile on your face at any one time

Hey First One, you should be happy now with this storm. I saw that shinny Orange Tractor (with a NICE cab) sittin there on the ridge this summer when I would go by with my tractor on the trailer

dsgsr I see your just down the road from me and have been by my place. I'm surprised I haven't met you before ,or maybe we have ? I would like to talk to you in person someday if you get the chance . I see you have alot of toys for your tractor ,some of which I'd like to pick up later on .
