Wand for radiator

I have a couple of those Harbor Freight air wands and like someone said earlier I screwed a small bolt or screw into the end along with a dab of glue and then drilled a small hole in the side of it so it would blow out the side and it works pretty good in conjunction with the un-modified one, I also will spray A/C coil cleaner or ice machine coil cleaner and let it foam up and work some of the dirt and small seeds out of the radiator , then wash it out with the garden hose sprayer.

I made my own from some copper tubing, a few fittings and an old air gun.

I have a radiator cleaning wand that has a blowgun with a rigid tube with several holes in the side of the tube at end of tube furthest from blowgun. An arrow marks location of side of tube that has holes & it's called an "Air Comb". My Air Comb didn't cost near the inflated price of $50 but I've had it many yrs.

Radiator Genie - Water & Air Cleaning Wands for High Efficiency Cooling Systems and Radiators - Blow Out / Wash Out Kit https://a.co/d/aug7IDy

Local Kubota dealer had best price which was surprising.

Also handy for sweeping the shop floor and washing equipment.

There are two blow guns that I use to clean out the radiator. I like the Milton 159 4' blow gun as you get to stand mostly out of the dust cloud when cleaning the radiator. I use the safety tip with it to reduce chance of bending fins. It is USA made too!

The Radiator Genie is nice also, it is shorter so your in the dust cloud. It comes with a blow gun and a water nozzle that is nice to use after blowing the radiator out.

I am very careful not to bend fins by getting anything too close, as most any device used to blow out the radiator can bend fins. I like to blow the radiator out, then wash it out. Washing before blowing can cause the dust to cement itself onto the radiator making it a pain to clean. If I could only choose one I would probably choose the Milton 159.

I too have the Air Comb , design works excellent for reaching in tight quarters and getting high pressure air through the radiator. It’s also excellent for blowing out air filters from inside out. Our local kubota dealer stocks them besides amazon. Make sure to keep the wind in your favor when using.
