I would like to use my BX2350 FEL to move construction debris between the house and the dumpster. I'm tearing out drywall, so I'd like to get a little more space in the FEL. Has anyone figured out a clever way to do this without purchasing an expensive set of forks or something similar?

Forks are not expensive if you have the welding skills to build them yourself. If interested PM me for plans.

You can design something similar using 2x4's and plywood to make a bucket extension. There are multiple solutions to your problem just using ordinary lumber.

Someone a long time ago here posted a mulch bucket for thei Bota. It was metal plates that they bolted to the existing bucket on the sides, bottom, and top back of the bucket to probably double the capacity.

I always thought that would work well for snow, but we don't get that much for me to mess with.

SIR,
i would not touch that unless my tractor
had foam filled tires, or slime filled tires.
there is bound to be many nails, and other
assorted items that can cause a flat tire.

Buy some angle iron that extends about 36" or so past the bucket and drill/bolt to the inside of the bucket (2 holes each side). Put 2x6's or a couple of layers of plywood between the iron (drill and bolt) and you have a much bigger hauling surface area. Also makes a dandy standing platform to use for painting the side of your house or whatever.

Remember, the farther out you put the weight...the more apt you are to tip over. I would hate to see someone get hurt. Just be safe about it.

I bought a $140 sweeper magnet from Northern Tool a couple years ago. I can't prove it, but I'm sure it's paid for itself several times over. I definitely would sweep the area when the job's done.

Can't be much worse than driving through My woods filled with natural nails.
AKA honey locus.

When I moved my debris, I used the roller magnet very often to prevent the flats.

Then I would keep the bucket low and place the largest piece of dry wall or playwood that I could find laying around then through items in on top of that. I think that I was able to carry alot more that way.

If it is already on the ground in a pile the bestthing is to move the dumpster or move the dump trailer over and start loading.

WHEN YOU HOOK UP A GRAPPLE LIKE THE ONE IN THE PHOTO, WHAT HYDRAULIC MOTION ON THE BUCKET DO YOU GIVE UP? IS EITHER THE GRAPPLE OR THE BUCKET STATIONARY?

Neither. The grapple is usually run from an electric diverter valve connected to the bucket curl spool valve. You activate an electric switch that diverts fluid from the curl cylinders to the grapple. When the switch is off the curl function works as normal. The switch is usually mounter on the joystick.

You can also get an electric/hydraulic solenoid valve that is connected in series with the loader valve. This is usually referred to as a third function. Switch is still mounted on the joystick but the grapple works independently of the loader functions. For example the WR Long valve.

Mine uses a diverter valve like MadReferee said. IT is plumbed to the curl function. So to close the grapple you would press the switch and move the loader valve to the dump postion. The bucket would remain stationary but you can still raise and lower it. With practice you don't even think about it.

Sorry I think we have Hijacked this thread.

Well, I never got around to buying or making any forks, but everything worked out quite well... see the picture. It really made the demolition go very quickly.
