Used L5240

I am looking at buying a 2008 L5240 with box blade and around 600 hours and was wondering if 19,000 is a good price and if will be a good tractor for lifting round bales and pulling a 2 bottom plow or a 6 foot tiller. I was also wondering which would be better for tilling 2-3 acres plow and disc or a tiller.

not sure on the price. but the tractor will do all that you asked about. i have a 5240 cab with a tiller and it works wonders. not a single complaint about the tractor (well maybe one.....the a/c could be better)

I don't really know about the price, but the 5240 is a really nice tractor, I have a L5740 which is essentially the same tractor and unlike crk133, my AC works fine.

I guess I am a bit old fashioned, but I like a plow and disk, plus they can usually be found used and are a lot cheaper. I have a small tiller for our BX which gives a great finish; guess it depends on what you are expecting and how much you want to spend.

This tractor should be very well suited for your use . I am very pleased with mine. The tiller will give you a very fine finish and the hp of this tractor is more than sufficient . As Triple R said my ac works well in 102 heat with 70 percent humidity. Great tractor and does all that I ask

well my a/c issue has been fixed. dropped it off at my automechanic and apparently the belt was really lose. so after 4 years it works properly. it had been into my kubota dealer but they always sadi it worked fine. i am glad to have my issue resolved!

Glad to hear it, we try to check our belts on a fairly regular basis and keep everything blown out as they can get clogged pretty quickly..
