Not looking to buy, but always looking... anyways, I've noticed a Lot recently, a seller gives an impliment or trailer or whatever the old rattle-can-rebuild, and you literally see it sitting in it's own overspray, and asking good money for something that was dragged out of a tree line.

If you really are gonna drag stuff out and rattle can rebuild, why not take the effort to atleast not stage the picture in the painted grass?

Looks like he is also "rebuilding" a finish mower in the background.

Since most of it is sold, you can't argue with the results. I think it is hilarious though. I would prefer the unpainted implement so I could see the rust. That is an almost immediate no for me when I see something painted up like that. What are you hiding?

I dont really object to the BB and some of the other stuff; but painting the trailer tires? Also, don't really like the bearings on the disc getting sprayed. I also don't think I want a gloss enamel on the wood deck of that trailer

So, on paint; I kinda like a lime green with Blaze orange combo; but my daughter Hates it. Needs to say, I point it out the color scheme every time I see it to annoy her; kinda a running joke. Wonder what it would cost to have my black bucket on the Kioti powder coated lime green?

That's 90% a joke, I wouldn't really... probably :)

I especially like it when they post “totally rebuilt/reconditioned” and you can see where they painted right over all of the grease fittings.

My new ditch and bank flail mower is green and orange-yellow with black accents. It doesn't go with Ford blue but who cares. It's one of the best flails on the market at a great price. It's supposed to be delivered tomorrow. 👏

When I read Mr. Paul's post I couldn't visualize the lime/orange color combination...

And now, thanks to the flail picture, I can't stop seeing it!

Life on the farm will never be the same again...

The overspray on that poor dog - the final touch. I wonder - is the dog included with the plow or the mower?

We just watched an episode of 20/20 about two guys that escaped a prison in Mississippi. While evading the police, they stole a van and then went to Walmart and bought a bunch of blue cans of spray paint. They painted the van blue, and where able to evade the police for quite awhile.

Seems like a good idea to paint stolen equipment before trying to sell it. How much harder would it be for the owner to find it if it was a different color?

A friend of mine had a trailer stolen. The thieves repainted it and it was not recovered for 2 years. When everyone is looking for a yellow tilt deck and its now black...

How did they find it? The thief left the original numbers on it?

Was a guy here that bought nice old original implements and resold them, painted them all the same color, never masked off anything i.e. rubber or decals etc. Totally ruined them and put them for sale.

I was at an auction sale once and a nicely painted manure spreader was there....painted right over the manure.

I shop used stuff continuously. Freshly painted stuff is a strong pass. I don't buy from crack heads.
