Price Check Used 73" JDQA Bucket Value

I think $100 - 200 bucks would be a fine offer, and make sure you mention the discussion on weakened steel and heating it to bend it back into form. If you plan to heat it up and straighten it out, you probably want to add some steel plates to the side where you are gonna bend it back into shape.

Make your offer low enough ... you can always come up. Start at a couple hundred and hope he comes down ... then go up a little more until you both reach a price.

FWIW I paid $400.00 for a like new condition HD 73" JDQA bucket when I purchased my 3320 almost two years ago; I have seen them for about the same price since, but they are few and far between in like new condition (the paint wasn't even worn off of the one I purchased). I got both the 5' and 6' bucket's because I use the 5' in the woods as anywhere the bucket goes the tractor goes. I don't know where you are located, but I'm sure that will factor in.

This guy says he has no problem with a 73" HD bucket on his 3320 w/300cx, however I still feel the HD bucket is just going to be too heavy.[/QUOTE]

The HD (not the High Volume) bucket will be fine on your machine, I use the 73" HD in my open areas on my 3320 300CX with no problems at all. I can heap with gravel, dirt, mulch, snow.....whatever, no problems, I do have the rears filled and usually have a rake or blade on the rear when using it this way. I have a 7' rear blade that I use when doing snow removal paired with the 73" bucket & it really makes it nice since you are not running over snow before you remove it.

Well after talking to my local dealer some more, they are not willing to negotiate on the price at all

I called around to a few other local places and no one had anything for me. Then I searched around allot online getting quotes from from the few dealers I could find that had them used (with shipping included) and the 2 semi-decent deals had already been sold and everything else was 600+ to my door.

I try and check out any semi local auctions through Equipmentfacts.com, via there online interface. Since I have worked with them before I already have a bidder number so bidding is just a matter of registering for the auction (which requires a 5k credit card deposit, a bank letter, or 10k into their escrow)

Anyway it looks like today I lucked out, or so I hope! I bid on, and won an auction for a 73" (Which looks to be the HD model if I am correct?) JD QA bucket. There seems to be some damage to the bucket but I am hoping it will be a fairly easy fix. Here are the photos:

It looks as if the edges have rusted out... I have some friends who weld, and I am hoping I can have it patched up for fairly cheap. I do not plan to use this bucket for anything but snow at this point so I hope it will work out.

I won it for 100$ + 12% fee and PA sales tax. So it should be less then 120 OTD. I also won a like new Howse HB60 Box Blade for 300$ + the same fee's. (As seen here on Ebay) They are located about 3 hours from me, but there is a like new (1 year old) Agri-Fab Mow-N-Vac for 500$ (on Craigslist, retail is 1200) that I have been wanting to pick up for the past month, and it's only 10 min from this place. So really, it all should work out!

Let me know what you guys think :)

With the side plates on the bucket, I concur, HD. NICE buy!
I've been watching for an 85" HD for my JD640 loader, thought I found a deal on machinefinder, ($500) but it was sold and dealer had not deleted the post.

I agree the side plates look like a HD, but the top would have to be double walled to be HD. from the pics it's hard to tell. It is not high volume.

Double wall makes it very tuff.

Good price for sure, couple of rods and a couple of cans of paint don't cost much.

You can see the double wall here and what it's capable of
