Actually, maybe a Yugo was a bit nicer than a Chevette. Wife's first car was a Chevette. It had actual, honest to God, bulletholes. They were in the back quarter not far from the gas tank. That was before she met me. I actually test drove a Yugo as a poor college student. Ever driven one? Steering wheel sat like a bus. Or a tractor, come to think of it. Sat about 45 degrees to the road. Really a retarded car.

Do you know why Yugo's had "rear window defrosters"?? To keep your hands warm in the winter when you were pushing them.....:)

Wish I could have gotten a B series and not look like a moron in my neighborhood. Just a little bigger and oozing with power. I get enough stares with the BX.

I have a B2630 on a 70X100 lot. I prefer to think of myself as an "eccentic in the neighborhood", and like to believe the stares are "longing gazes".

I have a B3030 with 108 hrs on it now. I bought it in August of '05. I think it is a great tractor. The seat is OK for me. However, I think it is a personal thing and everyone is different. B3030s have plenty of power for most anything you would want to do with a tractor of it's size. I use M range the most. Full hydro pedal in M range is perfect for mowing grass with my 60" MMM. I occasionally will use L range for some loader work and when I pull my 2X14 bottom plow in my sandy garden. For plowing snow with my 72" Landpride RB H range at about 1600 to 2100 rpm works great. Plenty of power and speed to get done quickly. I also think it is a really good looking machine. I like the modern curves of the tractor and FEL. The hydro is very positive, progressive and easy to control. The position control 3PTH is very good for leveling dirt with the RB and makes feathering out the last little bit very easy with some practice. I don't have any big hills on my property but I do have a couple of steep sidehills that I mow. Everyone has their own comfort level on hills. I grew up on a farm with many hills and learned what is safe and what is not. To me, the B3030 feels very safe. The best thing I like about the B3030 is that it is a small, full-size tractor, not a large garden tractor. I have driven many full size farm tractors and my share of lawn-garden tractors, too. The B3030 fits right in between and is a beautiful machine. Good luck with yours. My guess is you will like it right from the start.

I purchased mt B3030HSDC in June 2005. I am very happy with it.

I don't have any problem mowing along a 30 degree slope. The cab model weighs 419 pounds more than the non-cab model (2271# vs. 1852#) so the center of gravity is higher but I dought it is by much. I'm inclined to believe the cab has more of a psychological effect on the operator than anything else in reguards to the fear of roll-over. It took a while for me to get used to this and I imagine this spring when I start mowing again I'll have to tackle the fear again the first time or two.

As far as the LA403 FEL goes when the bucket is full of dirt the rear of the tractor feels light so I usually attach the rototiller to the back for the extra weight. When pulling stakes, stumps, and whatnot from the ground with a chain the FEL will lift the rear wheels off the ground, not by much but it does it.

When mowing around trees beware of large branches that want to take the lights off the cab. I have a riding mower to get up close to these guys.

It's a great machine and I have no regrets getting it.

That is a huge jump! I wonder if you over bought. I hear the bx 23 is not the tractor of the b series, but my neighbor has a bx23 and it kicked but on my driveway before I got my 7510. When he plowed 6" of snow I knew I needed a tractor. His cuts lawn better than mine it seems. It is a darn tough tractor.

That's a hoot. Do you have enough room beside your house to get from front yard to back without going into your neighbor's property? I'd say you officially win any "Overkill Award" that may be available.

goneandbrokeit, I just talked to my brother and we are both amazed at you having this size machine on your lot, I assume you have a home on this lot which takes up about 2000 sq ft, where o you ride this machine and how much grass could you possibly cut? I would think 3 or 4 passes would be all you would need.... Awesome!!!!!

I can get front to back just barely, I probably do need to trim a few bushes to stay on my yard, as I went with the R4's.
