Nice trailer George. I think you might be alright on getting a car door open. With a 22' trailer the door might be in front of the fender, it is on my 20.'

Can you post a pic of how they do their removable fenders. Just trying to figure out how best to do mine.

I'm just north of you in the Watertown area, George. Just wondered what dealer you used. Not actively looking at the moment, but may sell/trade dump trailer at some point and go for a tilt bed for my S185 Bobcat. So far a couple of online inquiries up this way have gone unanswered.
The dump isn't used for a dump all that much. Maybe 4-5 times in 3 years. The S185 fits in it, but it has to be backed on and clearance is only a couple inches either side.

The removable fenders on my PJ are removable but not user friendly. There is what appears to be a 2x2 piece of tubing welded to the frame that sticks out to support the fenders. There is a single bolt (1 front, 1 back) going through to hold the fenders in place. To remove the fenders you have to remove the 2 bolts, then pop out the side marker lamps in each fender to unplug them, then fenders can be lifted off. Note that fenders do not have any lifting handles and are heavy diamond plate steel. I can only assume they are only removable for ease of servicing the axles / brakes. They are not field use quick removable.
My previous H&H 20' tilt bed did have user friendly removable fenders held on with 2 rubber hold downs and lift handles. Although, in the 8 years I owned the H&H I only removed them a few times. They were also much lower and did not stick up above the deck very much.
Here's the PJ fenders.

Todd,
I sent you a PM.
I also have a Cross Country dump trailer. 16' x 80" wide with 10K capacity. I have hauled my LS tractor in mine with plenty of room but the PJ will be so much easier. For your S185 you don't need a 22' trailer. There are many 16-18' tilts available for much lower prices.

Thanks. I had a similar idea but I was thinking if using pins. I have a structure that's close to that 2x2. Mainly I'd at least like Id like to do the drivers fender.
Thanks for the pics

If mine didn't have the side marker lamps in them I would replace the bolts / nuts with pins and add lift handles for easy removal. Cold weather is coming quick here this year (35 degrees this morning). If I decide to modify mine I may not have time to work on this till next spring.
