Just voicing my opinion here, maybe others have been experiencing the same thing. Over the last month or two, the number of negative, rude, out-of-line, comments from unregistered users has been very high. Without getting into a lot of detail, I have found it rather annoying to say the least. It seems as though several people are just trying to rile people up.

Yep, the lurkers are out there and we have to deal with them.

Upon occasion, I have notice them and have responded by calling their bluff. In most cases, they get the hint and back off. If they are really obnoxious, just notify Muhammad and he will perform his Webmaster duties. That is what he doesn't get paid for.... /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Muhammad - Well said! (And yes, I do understand now, but you don't have to call me "idiot", even if I do answer to it... /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif)

Any time this topic is broached, the issue of censorship is usually raised. I personally think it doesn't apply here, because this is a voluntary-membership forum. If politeness and considerateness irritate someone, they can go somewhere else where everyone seems to thrive on it - then we can all be happy. I think it's great that everyone knows ahead of time that it won't be tolerated - you can waste your time trying it, but it's going to be deleted anyway, so why bother? This formula has worked perfectly in the past, though it was seldom needed. As TBN grows, it'll become more common, but only in actual counts, not in percentage of posts, I'll bet.

Thanks for the great job, as always, Muhammad. And start stocking up on pink paint! /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

He may do more than that to them!/w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif

Hi Kevin...

Hey... not such a bad idea... No... I don't have a sign shop, but I have these cheapo "paper" computer generated signs I've made over the years...

Started with my girls when they were younger and I'd make a sign and post it in their rooms... or post it on the refrig... or the bathroom... or next to the dog or cat's dish...or etc. etc.

It was always signs of life, signs of encouragement, signs of going forward, signs of doing the right things... even under the wrong conditions... signs against drugs, against premarital ***, against smoking, against drinking, against lying-cheating, signs for healthy living, signs to let them know just how much I care for, cherish and love them... and just plain signs to be a better person... /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Many people have a quirk or two... I guess this is one of mine.../w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

John,

Here's a couple of sayings that I used on signs with my scout troop:

"Sitting on a tack is like getting an idea...........both should make you rise and take action!"

"Before engaging mouth, put mind into gear."
