unknown bug?

My wife has found several of these in our home kitchen and in bedroom. in spring and summer. anyone know what they are?

I don't know what it is, nor do I know what the funny looking coin is either. If I had to guess on the bug, I would say that it is in the scorpion family. I am just glad that I didn't find it in my home, because I would be moving out until all of them were gone. Looks like these critters here. bug link ..... pseudoscorpion bugs. Says they are harmless and are predators to other bugs. Still look a bit creepy to me. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

The first attachment was part of the infamous no-see-um bug family.

The second attachment, something out of a sci-fi flick. A new tick family....
