Under Carriage Protection

I’m buying a Kubota B2601 and want to add some protection underneath for when I’m in the woods. I know I can get some items from Cathy in Canada and I found another site that had a plate that would be ideal but they don’t ship to the US. Is there any other options out ?

Yep, it would sure be nice to buy one off the rack. This is a skid plate that I made up to protect my hydro filter in creek flats. You could bring a pic and some specs to a fab shop, but then you have to fit it.

When buying my LS XR4155 I told the dealer I definitely wanted a skid plate to protect the underside from damage, they said good idea we will make one for you, paid $150 for it and very glad to have it because there’s way to much expensive stuff under there that could very easily get damaged, mine is bolted to the loader frame.

That's a real good deal. What did it look like ? Any pictures how they made it ?

It’s just a great big rectangular piece of flat steel bolted to the bottom of the loader frame, painted black, I had to remove it to change the hydraulic filters and reinstalling it by myself was pretty difficult. Next time I have the tractor outside will try to remember to take some pictures. Originally there were 12 bolts holding it in place but when I reinstalled it I only used 8 bolts, I ain’t the least bit worried about it coming loose and getting damaged.

Don't know if you are aware of it but there a couple recalls on them. One is for the touchy gas pedal.

I welded on protectors for for my steering, a bash guard for my hydraulic lines, and I'm on version number 2 of my undercarriage plate which is now a big chunk of 1/8" aluminum boiler plate, much as CycleDude described his. The plate was added this past summer when I broke my stay link supports and my tractor came back to the trauma center where I could fix everything. Plate wise it happens to be on the tail end of a fix-it video if you're interested in the exact steps I took to make mine.
