Flail Mower Tytan Flail Mower

I looked at a new Tytan 6' flail mower today. It has been on display for about 1-1/2 years out in the weather and the paint is showing lots of weathering, so is marginal. Appears to be built hefty, but I don't know that I am comfortable with the Tytan brand. He says he will clean it up and paint it to match my Kubota L5740. He is also willing to let me take it home to try. That made me nervous, has he used it as demo, so I got down and looked underneath - does not appear to have been used at all.

I need input on the Tytan brand and input on running a 6' flail on a 50hp pto system.

I am completely unqualified to comment on the Tytan brand. But I'd say a six footer is too small for 50 PTO hp. I could probably run that on my 35hp tractor. Right now I'm actually shopping for a seven footer for my 45hp tractor.
