New to tractors,my speed pedals don't seem to work correctly. They don't return to neutral and are difficult to make move either directions. Sorry if I'm not clear .Thanks Gary

Has it been sitting for a long time, is there gunk next to the casing? Are the connectors rusty?

Do you have the HST? I have a T503 HST and I had a problem with my forward pedal. I had to pull it up with my foot so I could use the reverse pedal to go backwards. I sprayed silicon on the shaft and where the pedal went through the floor. I think I even cut the rubber back a little where the pedal comes through the floor. Between that and just using it the problem got a lot better overtime but when it gets cold it acts up it just once awhile now. I think it needs to break in a little. I still only have 30 hrs so hopefully it will continue to get better with use.

Tractor is a tym t330 hst.I have a similar problem like Dansailor. The pedals don't return to "neutral" like I think they should. If you mess with the pedal height. It will move ok in forward but not well in reverse.Should these pedals return to neutral? Thanks Gary

Gary,

If you can grab the back of the forward pedal and pull it back to the full up position and then the reverse works fine I have a couple things for you to try. First get a can of silicon spray. With the tractor off get down and spray the area where the pedal comes up through the floor while moving the pedal up and down (there are rubber pieces on both sides of the pedal that keep dust from coming up through the opening. Also spray the shaft under the floor while pushing the pedal up and down. You may also find the pedal is not perfectly parallel to the opening. If so you may be able to use a adjustable wrench to twist the pedal slightly so it aligns better or just trim the rubber back a little towards the up position. You may have to repeat a few times and keep using it so it breaks in. Mine works better when it is warm outside so we will see how it works now that cold weather is coming.
