Ha ha! Sorry. Wasn't commenting on the 'master ' part. I know better than to insult anyone on this forum. I've got feelings too, you know. (Insert roll eyes icon here)

Fellow hobbyist Steve, does your wife know yet that the mill itself is the cheapest part? If she isn't aware of tooling costs perhaps I should send her a PM? image-875673864.jpg Terry

Terry, I thought we were keeping THIS thread in the FRIENDLY banter mode  -

Besides, most of the other stuff I'll end up getting for the mill is enough le$$ (each) to come under the heading of "onesie-twosie" "supplies" - haven't you read chapter 1 of my book, "Toy Acquisition and the Art of SWMBO Manipulation"?? (Oh, wait, I haven't finished writing THAT chapter yet  )

Plus, I'll probably be in Witness Protection after it's published  so I'll have to pretend not to be me, so then you'll have to find somebody ELSE to make ya laugh, so you'll all be soooo sad, so....

That does it, I'm keepin' the book to meself, wouldn't wanna be responsible fer all that pain

James, thanks - that was the least expensive one I found with nearly all my shopping list on it. Been checking CL 2-3 times a day for the last few months, everywhere within 200 miles and nothing came up within my price range that I even wanted to go look at.

Plus, this way a semi will stop on the road in front of my place and I'll unload the crate with the BH and he'll drive away. No trailers, traffic or tribulations to speak of - my kind of fun... Steve

I like the creativity and innovative approach to solving a couple of small challenges.

With respect to the safety comment....as someone who doesn't weld (not even newbie status!), common sense tells me to wear gloves and a shield during welding. I'd never just follow a picture showing bare fingers and think that's how it's done. But maybe common sense isn't always common??
