Tuff Torq K64HD

Like alot of others I am having trouble with my JD130 TT K64HD trans. Lookng for a used one to just get me through this season. Planning on a upgrade next spring. What other models of lawnmowers did they put this "JUNK" into? Thanks for any input you all can give.

Where did you buy it? Dealer or box store?

Thanx for the reply... Bought mine 2nd hand...actually 3rd hand. Mower runs pretty good till it gets warmed up then runs slow ands will eventually stop, till it cools off again. Replaced drive belt with no change. Having same issues that is talked about on this site. Heard that the Tuff Torq was put into other brands of mowers. I believe it is the K64HD model of TT. HAve a mower junk yard nearby that I might try and find a replacement to get me through this season.

Probably the best way to resolve your issues is to rebuild the transaxle with parts available from Tuff Torq, the transmission is a K46 not a K64, your numbers are reversed.

I wouldn't bother with a junk yard replacement, it may have the same problems. In either case you need to remove the transaxle and rebuilding what you have and filling with synthetic oil should give you better results.
