I looked into getting a trailer for my Bota and found out a few things:
1. Your truck needs to be capable of towing the Bota and the weight of the trailer. My L2650 was delivered by a friend with a 3/4 ton chevrolet w/ a 7-10k rated trailer and it was at its limit towing. Keep in mind hills.
2. The trailer needs to be rated to handle the weight of the Bota. The benifits of having brakes on the trailer. Stop and go, going up hill etc. there is a lot of weight behind the truck. If you don't have brakes on the trailer you'll burn them up quicker on your truck. It's hard to stop with that much weight behind you.
3. check with the Highway Dept in your state on the requirements for tieing down the equipment, also make sure that your not overweight. In PA you need to chain down the main component (2) will work on the Bota, however I would do 4 on mine. The attachments each need to be also tied down. You can use the straps on them.
4. If your not safe you'll pay the price in many ways. Especially if your in an accident and a certified MIXAP (i think thats what they are called) police officer is involved. You'll be fined more than you can imagine and or possibly have criminal charges if your any way at fault. ie reckless endangerment, vehicular homicide, etc.
