Having trouble getting paper work for warranty work. I have a New Holland TC45 that has been split 5 times. 4 times for clutch work, once for a oil leak, and it is leaking again in the same spot. I wanted to know if the paperwork is to be provided and if so is it law.
Thanks for any info.

I recieved no warranty paper work when I bought my NH TC35. Come to think of it this is all I have seen in print about NH's warranties and that includes their website. They have it buried somewhere on the site.

"Extended powertrain warranty puts Boomer at the head of the pack. This means you get an extra twelve months of powertrain coverage beyond Boomer's standard full-vehicle 24-month warranty at no extra charge."

I would think the date on your bill of sale would suffice....assuming you have not exceeded the covered hours if that is a condition?
You've had the tractor split 5 times? In how long a period and how many hours on the tractor?

What I,m looking for is paperwork on the warranty repairs. Tractor is just about two years old and has 550 hours.

If you are asking about what is covered and for how long, I would try the MFG web site. May either find it there, or a phone number to call. If you are asking about warranty on repairs done under warranty, I would guess the same thing.

After 5 splits in 2 years, the regional rep and I would be on close terms. Call him/her up and calmly and politely go over the time line of what has been done to you tractor and without any passion or aggression, tell them that it needs to be fixed so it stays fixed. Also that you have begun to loose faith in the manufacturor and the dealer's ability to repair the tractor. Should you feel like you are getting the run around at that level, ask the regional rep for names of higher ups and contact them. I would also send informational letters to very high ups. Again, the web site can aid you in getting the name of the directors of manufacturing and of quality. Writting them polite letters explaining that you have been patiently working on getting your tractor fixed and would appreciate their looking into why it has not and is apparently not being fixed correctly. Again, be polite and ask them for help. More flys with honey than vinegar and all that.

Good luck getting it fixed for good!

I think what rayc45 is asking is paperwork for warranty work performed. Like an itemized statement.

I for one have never got any such paperwork on anything I've ever had warranty work performed.

Sounds like your wanting some kind of proof that your tractor has had a lot of warranty repairs. That will be in the NH system.

Yes, that's right. I want to be able to show haw many problems I have had with my New Holland TC 45. With all the parts and labor I think they could have gave me a new tractor.

Ray, I think you need to check with your state's AG office about the "rights and responsibilities" under warranties. Normally, there are additional requirements not spelled out in the warranty agreement and depend on your state. The AG's office should be able to help as a starting point.
