tractor shelter

I got my new tractor coming next week, but I have no house for it. Besides a tarp, is there any quick shelter I can put around my new kubota L3200 that I due for arrival next week?
I know I'll probably use a tarp, but does anyone have any ideas?

Does it need to be anchored to the ground? The ground is frozen.

I anchored mine to railway ties. They also raised the doorway up 8".

That's the trick to a successful life with your shelter. Nail it to the ground, you don't want it blowing away. I welded plates to the bottom of the pipes, drilled holes in the plates then got a ground rod driver and hammered about a dozen 42" lengths of rebar in the thing. It will not move, not even during a tropical storm and we've had three of them since my shelter has been in place.

I have a second one and I put a floor in it. 2x8's on 4x4's and then anchored the shelter to the floor.

Those things can catch a lot of wind. If it were mine and I couldn't ancore it I'd weld two lengths of railway track to it. That should keep it down

I've got an alpine shelter logic- ordered it from home depot. Works well, 2nd year. Give yourself a break. Use a large tarp and tie it down to the tractor for this year. That roll bar will hold the tarp up nicely. In the spring put something up. A couple of the larger cinder blocks at every post might be enough to anchor the shelter logic for now - but a blue tarp will get you through until winter is over. If you tarp it- provide a way for air to pass under so it gets ventilation and you don't build up moisture from condensation.

My tractor is 35 miles away at my densely wooded, very rocky property I am clearing for a home site. I have no room for any kind of stationary shelter and use a $90, large SUV type car cover. I put the ROPS down to allow the cover to engulf the tractor to ground level. Works great for a portable unit, as long as one does not need shelter and be able to work on it at the same time. I do not have a pic of the covered tractor, but do of the property. You could also use a combination of car cover and 12' x 12' popup canopy like what I have for my storage of fuels, chairs, etc, most of which are stored in a large, outdoor, deck-type storage box. The canopy cover on these are usually not very robust, so I have a very heavy duty 14' x 14' tarp over the top of the canopy. There are a lot of options.

Don't knock the tarp! I am rebuilding my tractor and I have no shelter. I ran 3/8 steel cable between two trees and put on a heavy duty silver tarp like a pup tent. It is weighted down on the edges with rocks and open at the ends. I can get up under it to work or it's really easy to take off.
It will do you till Spring arrives and you can construct/buy something better.

Sounds like a great idea. Once I get some more trees cleared out, I may have to seriously consider it as I already have the spare tarps, one that is ~ 24 x 40 and another a bit smaller. My initial tractor covering was one of these heavy duty tarps laid over the tractor and tucked in with rocks. But the downside is that most tarps do not breathe and evaporating ground moisture condenses on the underside of the tarp and is deposited on any part of the tractor in contact with it.

I picked up a "Garage in a box" from tractor supply. Made a perimeter of 2x8 pressure treated lumber. Ancored the frame to the lumber and set a couple of rebar pins to keep it down. If the ground is still frozen just put a couple of shorter scraps of lumber from the perimeter to the inside and drive the tractor up on to them that will hold the shelter in place for the rest of the winter. Two under the rear wheels and two under the bucket should do it.

Yes, that would work, but the cost in our area for even a small Sea shipping container is $2K. I had thought about that myself for my need.
