OK........just for the record.......I am supplying pictures of my tractor at work. I have given my opinion loads of times and now I just want to show off my old JD 770 working on my rear patio.

Nice tractor and nice job on the patio. How heavy are those blocks? I detect a slight bow in the center of your bucket. I think someone needs a set of forks.

Actually I am not.......my occupation is an estimator / project manager for a commercial GC....first born, type AAAAA personality.........wrapped wayyyyyy to tight for working with stone. I am a carpenter by trade and I lost my head one day and thought the office side of the business was betterboy was I wrong.

The stone came from a site project I handled......one old building on it. Rescued about 17 - 20 ton of stone.

Yup, always liked the way the JD 70 series looked - great tractors!

Nice pics of the corn and the house, too. Great to see some green when everything up here is long into fall colors and the leaves are nearly off the trees.

Hey Whitey, that GE stock is down and tommorow the CEO of GE worldwide will be at our plant in Erie so hold off for now. Don't know what is going on but it may not ge good. I was thinking maybe a trade and cash for the 4300 TLB? What do you think? Sure is pretty eh', spark some interest?

Always interested in a trade & cash.........GE is trading this morning at about three bucks off their 52 week low........probably why Mr. Buffet is coming to the next board meeting. Do you know if they have cut their dividend yeild? That tractor of yours is wayyyyyy to clean. Do you use it???? Or is that a pillow I see tucked under the seat??? I do not believe I will know how to act on such a nice tractor. Me thinks we can come to an agreement as soon as I finish the patio and clean up the 770. BTW the guy whom is interested in my tractor is also still in the mix if we have to resort to cash.

We may put something together, Emmelt did not show up as planned so the CEO of transportation (rail) rambling on about something, I think they are trying to talk the old farts out of dumping their GE stock. Buffet has a deal to buy stock at 20 something a share for the next 5 years regardless of what it goes up to. I guess when you buy that much stock they will cut a good deal on it! Yes my tractor sleeps on a pillow, and would you laugh if I told you I cover it up in the garage? I did mention it has it's very own garage bay didn't I? You just don't cram these things where ever you can, you build a 3 car garage with 1 dedicated bay for the tractor. I even put in tall garage doors so there is no folding of the ROPS! I do really need to clean it up, kinda dirty from last minute brushogging before hunting season. If you end up with it you won't leave it outside will you?

Nooooooooooo! I wouldn't dare! My machine looks dirty because it is! I do need to clean it up before winter. I just changed all of the filters and oil last week. I do keep it indoors in a building out of the weather. The GE stock was offered yesterday at the same discount as to Buffet. Angry crowds on the street were pressing their point! Sad thing was after yesterday's slide the offering was higher than the street price. I am going to wait and see.......me thinks that we are still in for a little of a ride even if the bums in the house give away some more of our money.

What are you going to carry? What are you going to ditch? What is important in your life!

Maybe a good idea but I don't think it can go much lower. If a superpower like GE takes a dive worse than it already is in stock, is any stock safe? I hope my pension does not dissappear!

GE and Deere are trading at their 52 week lows...........as of today. I do not know were the bottom is it was a wild ride today. I took the side lines last month only because I can control our own investment funds........however all of my profit sharing I cannot get at Do you think the bail out will trickle down to us Some day soon there will be a sale on some great stock and I hope I can catch the ride back up.

I am fairly sure it will hurt somehow, I have not seen many great financial thing from our gov. lately. What is Deere selling at? I am about to wash my hands clean of the stock market and bury money with my 48 backhoe in the yard- seems safer!

Wow! - clean looking tractors!

Whitey , your 770 puts mine to shame. Mine is rusty and old looking. But she runs very well. I do have question for you though, where did you get those tires and did you need new rims? Are they from a 790?
