Can't belive this thread is that old. Realized I never replied.The C124's were well before my time. I got to work on a C7 one time but it was headed to the boneyard then. I don't think I ever worked on a recip. When I was in teh Guard I had a chane to work transient alert and do tramp duty. Serviced some cool stuff there. F15's, F14's, Gulfstreams,Lears,KC135. But it was long enough I have forgotten most of it anyways.
I worked on C141s but they brought in an old Shakey (C124)for the air museum at Charleston AFB while I was there. It was something. The old timers had lots of stories about it(like 100 yard cables).
