As I said in my last post, it's sometimes necessary to move the tractor forward or reverse a little if you're having trouble getting it to engage. Sometimes they don't quite line up just right and you need to move a little. I don't find this to be an unusual problem, it's common in a shift like this.
Unless your tractor has some type of adjustment problem, if you try what I said, you should be able to easily get it to change. Try it, if it doesn't engage, move up a little and try it again. Sometimes I've had to move a few times before it gets in the right orientation to move into 4WD. It's a gearing thing. Make sure you push in the clutch before moving the lever.
If you continue to have troubles after that, have the dealer check it out, as it will probably need to be adjusted under warranty. John
