Tractor
Kubota 3700SU
I am looking to protect my tractor (Kubota 3700SU) from the elements especially during winter until I can build a storage area. I found a tractor cover online from covermytractor.com. Has anyone had experience with this type of cover or could anyone recommend a similar type cover? Any advice on winter stroage would be much appreciated. :)

Know couple gentlemen use heavy mill blue tarp extra size..easy to handle also if repairs etc. needed plenty of coverage..until shed etc. built.

I wouldn't recommend the temporary shelters from Shelter Logic, unless you're sheltered from the wind. Mine lasted a month maybe, then turned into a twisted pile of fabric and steel pipe. Luckily the tractor wasn't in it at the time.

I know Chilly doesn't like them but this is add-on was on of my late summer projects before hunting season starts.....

It is protected from the wind and I have two neighbors with the same (One three years old and one 4 yrs old)......

Shelter-Logic does make heavy duty models and heavier fabric if you pay for it.....

This is 12' w x 20' deep x 8' high.....picked up in Nashua, NH $549

Unless you strap a tarp down tightly with bungee cords, the wind will make it flap and it will rub the paint off on some corners and edges of the sheetmetal.

Found that my portable garage has worked well so far. It does get some wind but is bolted down well. 10 X 20 ft and the tractor just fits in without having to lower the ROPS.:)

I have a Shelter Logic 12 X 20 that's been standing 3 years and withstood winds up to 80 mph.

It has a few small leaks where the cover has rubbed on the poles, but other than that, NO problems at all.

Mine is anchor bolted to a concrete pad

Like Chilly, we tried a portable shelter years ago and it lasted a month. It was exposed to direct wind.

In my experience, it was an all-or-nothing thing. From what I could tell of what was left, one bolt broke, then the frame could move a bit. The rest soon followed. I had 24 inch ground anchors in frozen ground, they never moved one inch.

With heavy enough pipe, and welded construction, they'd be fine I think. Like I said, if you're in a sheltered area and don't get a ton of snow, they should be ok.
